Alexander was born in 1986 in Melitopol, Ukraine. In 2002 he entered the Crimean Art College (easel painting). From 2006 to 2012 he was a student of the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts (monumental painting). He taught at the Kharkiv Art School.

He has repeatedly participated in Ukrainian and international plein air. In 2011 he worked on design of History and Archeology Museum of Macedonia, Skopje.

Tyunkin’s art is focused on nature: he follows its beauty, showing it has never been diminished, but is only prone to changes that are brought by the different weather conditions. He shows the magical sky and the fierce sea as well as their manifestations: it can be dark and gloomy, indicating a stormy weather, or a source of warmth and the peace. Often in his paintings Tyunkin deals with old ships, wrecks, old houses and broken windows, successfully shows its uniqueness, which is a consequence of timepassing. His palette is focused on blue, green, turquoise and gray-violet. Sometimes less and sometimes more inclined to use colors in terms of its intensity; he harmonizes it with his inner emotions, giving significance to the way the painting will influence the observer. Tyunkin is devoted to what he paints with love – his inspiration is every corner of his beloved Crimea, everything that shapes its nature and makes it special.

Since 2012 Alexander is a Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and from 2015 Member of the Union of Artists of Russia.

His works are in private collections of Russia, Ukraine, near and far abroad, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ukraine (Kiev, Ukraine) and in the International Cultural Foundation (Saint-Petersburg, Russia).
