Oksana Stratiychuk was born in 1968 in Kiev, Ukraine. She is an artist and printmaker who graduated from The National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in 1992 and completed her postgraduate studies at the Ukrainian Academy of Arts in 1996.

Her artistic creative work can be described as a combination of modern view and old technics. An excellent master of etching, one of the sophisticated technics of graphic arts, laborious and longtime process, she has an amazing patience and non-ordinary vision of ordinary things. The floral motifs are reoccurring in her art, which consists of the complicated etching technique, prints on handmade paper, with touches of color and real natural elements. The style is reminiscent of the Old Dutch School, and throughout the years, has acquired a refined Zen-like mood intended for aesthetic and philosophic contemplation.

Stratiychuk’s artworks are held in public collections in Ukraine (Russian Art Museum, National History Museum and National Museum of Applied Arts in Kyiv), Russia (City Art Gallery in Kaliningrad), Japan (Tama Art Museum in Tokyo), Latvia (Exhibition House in Cesis) and Italy (Pinacotheque in Torre Canavese).

She is the member of the National Artists’ Union of Ukraine since 1992.
