An artist’s journey – master classes with Igor Shipilin, an acclaimed landscape artist displayed in Moscow Museum of Modern Art and the Hermitage State Museum in St.Petersburg.

Calling all aspiring and established artists in Abu Dhabi:  a chance to work with and learn from a top artist and exhibit your work at a public group art exhibition!

The master classes with Igor Shipilin are something to get excited about. A recipient of an award from the Russian Academy of Arts, Igor Shipilin’s works are displayed in internationally renowned,  the most prestigious museums in Russia: MMoMA (Moscow Museum of Modern Art) and The Hermitage (in St. Petersburg).  Igor Shipilin has been exhibiting his art works professionally since 1986. With over 20 solo exhibitions, he is a respected artist who acts as the regional head of the National Artist’s Union in Sevastopol, Crimea.  His technique and vision of landscape painting is celebrated by collectors and art critics alike. Anyone learning from the master has a rare chance to plunge in to a journey of true artistic discovery and growth.

This is the first time that N2N Gallery is offering such an opportunity to the public in Abu Dhabi.  Known for its specialisation in contemporary art and exceptional artists with a strong European academic school, the gallery is delighted to finally offer such a high caliber course. Igor Shipilin’s classes are often attended  by not only art enthusiasts, but by established artists from all corners of Russia and Ukraine.

Joining the course, you should view this as a comprehensive series of master classes where you will learn from beginning how to think, see and reason like an artist, through the guidance of Igor Shipilin. At the end of the course, you will know how to build a composition, how to select and use the color palette and apply paint. You will be able to pick the format and the rhythm of the work. You will come out of the master classes knowing how to independently compose a piece of art from start to finish. The culmination of the course will be a final masterpiece, which will be exhibited as a part of a group exhibition in N2N Gallery in Nation Towers Galleria!
