Unleash your creativity with linocut printmaking!

A master class lead by the established artist of graphics, Nadiia Onyshchenko

N2N Gallery is excited to introduce a 6 day master class in linocut. The course will be run by Nadiia Onyshchenko, an internationally recognised artist, an award winning master of graphic arts, specialized in engraving arts. Nadiia Onyshchenko actively exhibits her works and participates in plein airs and festivals world wide. Her works are held in museums in Ukraine, Turkey, Poland, Malaysia, Spain, USA, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Romania and Belgium.

The master class is offering the residents of Abu Dhabi to dwell deep in to the world of printmaking, using all the proper tools and materials, a variety of print surfaces, and an old fashioned printing press. Graphic art appeared in ancient times and has developed in to a variety of techniques, all of which are very interesting, linocut being no exception. This technique has a unique charm which cannot be reproduced by any other artistic media. The course will thoroughly address design, color theory, composition and the use of materials. The participants will enjoy the versatility of the art form by creating their handmade masterpieces by printing on to paper, natural fabrics and clothes.

During the course, you learn about a new form of fine art under the guidance of Nadiia Onyshchenko, who will teach the process from beginning to an end and encourage you to experiment with composition, color combinations, and materials.  You will come out of the course knowing how to successfully, independently create your own designs in print making. Each participant will create a minimum of 5 linocut engravings which will then be used in a variety of ways to create art works, with the help of N2N Gallery’s own printing press.

The final works of students will be displayed at a week- long group exhibition at Nation Galleria!

The course will run for 6 days at N2N Gallery, 1^st floor, Nation Towers Galleria on the Corniche, with morning and evening sessions to choose from.  Below is a complete list of materials and a registration form.
