N2N Gallery is proud to launch a new series of masterclasses with Ramazan Useinov, an acclaimed Crimean artist, born in Uzbekistan, displayed in museums around the world and in private collections in Europe, Asia and America.

Calling all aspiring and established artists in Abu Dhabi:  a chance to work with and learn from a top artist and exhibit your work at a public group art exhibition!

The master classes with Ramazan Useinov are something to get excited about. After graduating from the Republican College of Arts P.P. Benkov in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in 1972, Ramazan started to work in Samarkand at the Art Foundation. Ever since Ramazan Useinov has been a prominent figure on the art scene, being part of multiple group and solo exhibitions around the world. Ramazan Useinov has been displayed in galleries and museums in Kiev, Moscow, Washington, Paris, Ankara, Sevastopol etc.

His personal technique and vision of painting featuring Oriental and Eastern European elements is celebrated by collectors and art critics alike. Anyone learning from the master has a rare chance to plunge into a journey of true artistic discovery and growth.

Over the last year N2N Gallery has been offering numerous opportunities to the public in Abu Dhabi to get into the art universe and learn from established artists.  Known for its specialisation in contemporary art and exceptional artists with a strong European academic school, the gallery is delighted to offer once more such a high caliber course.

Ramazan Useinov’s master classes are a great opportunity to learn from a top artist with a unique style and vision.

Joining the course, you should view this as a comprehensive series of master classes where you will learn from beginning how to think, see and reason like an artist, through the guidance of the artist himself. At the end of the course, you will know how to build a composition, how to select and use the color palette and apply paint. You will be able to pick the format and the rhythm of the work. You will come out of the master classes knowing how to independently compose a piece of art from start to finish. The culmination of the course will be a final masterpiece, which will be exhibited as a part of a group exhibition in N2N Gallery in Nation Towers Galleria!

The 6 days course will focus on indoor still life painting, with emphasize on both European and Oriental styles. For course details, timings, and materials support, please contact N2N Gallery.  The classes will take place at N2N Gallery Al Ain Tower (located opposite Jones the Grocer, Khalidiyah, ground floor, entrance through Costa Café).

Course Structure:

Day 1:  Introduction and “technique secrets”revealing

Under supervision and guidance of the artist the students will start drawing a sketch on paper, will learn about composition and the perspective rules.

Homework will follow.

Day 2: This day the students will learn how to transfer the sketch to the canvas and they will prepare the palette.  The master will teach them how to mix colors and will show by example how to apply the paint on the canvas.  They will also have a chance to learn about the glazing technique. Homework will follow.

Day 3: Building foundations for the piece.

The shadow and light will be the main topics of this day. The artist will explain students how to achieve the end result and they will work under guidance and supervision of Ramazan Useinov, with analysis and feedback on their work.

Day 4-6: Creating the final paintings

Each student will have to complete 2 paintings. The students will take all their previously learned knowledge and bring their compositions to life, culminating in the final paintings. The final pieces will be shown in a group exhibition for public view for duration of a 1 week.
