Biography

An artist takes the color to its absolute meaning and frees it from the form and subject. Petro Lebedinets, being an abstract artist, embodies the space, spirit and the inspiration of all colors in the spots. Life-affirming harmony reigns in his works. His colors are delicate and temperamental, explosive and lyrical, mysterious and true. Their meaning is deeply intuitive, and composition is precise and rational.

Born in Ukraine in 1956. Education: Kyiv State Academy of Arts (1978-1984). Member of National Artist’s Union of Ukraine since 1990. Govermental Organization "Of Grants, Ratings and Nominations" Order "Credo-Ad-Astra". Participant of "Our Heritage" festival in New-York (National Arts Club and Metropolitan Museum, 2009). «Artist of the Year» prize winner. International Art Festival in Kyiv in 1997.

Prize winner in the Art Competition dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of the UNO in Ukraine (Kyiv, 1996). Prize winner of International Modern Art Show in Nice in 1996.
